Postnatal Recovery Program

Nothing can be more traumatic or stressful to a women's body than the delivery of a new bundle of joy. Postnatal complaints include swollen ankles, low back pain, tired shoulders, and of course weight gain during pregnancy!

How we can help with Postpartum Weight Loss

Getting your body back and losing weight after pregnancy is a big concern to most women. At North South Physical Therapy, we have designed a program that not only helps with postpartum weight loss, it will help treat all the above complaints. Depending on your postpartum recovery, we will start with postnatal exercise that begins with easy stretches that get your whole body moving again. As your muscle tone starts to return, we will progress by adding resistance, Cybex machines, and light cardio.

The Benefits of Post Natal Physical Therapy

Our Postnatal Recovery Program is about more than just weight loss after pregnancy. The women who join this program enjoy the fact that they can get back into shape in our facilities before returning to a hectic and noisy gym. Unlike other gyms postnatal exercise classes, our program is one on one, and our physical therapists adjust their pace to the client. If you are someone who recovers quickly, then your routine will be paced faster, if you are a beginner to exercising or have had a difficult delivery, then our pace will be slower. It's all up to you.

Most insurance plans will cover the program, as long as you have a referral from your primary care doctor. If you enjoyed working out in our clinics, then monthly memberships are available, too.

If you or someone you know could benefit from postnatal physical therapy, feel free to call the clinic near you to speak to a therapist.
